The 24-70 GM II is Sony's second-generation standard zoom — 22% lighter and 18% smaller than the Mk I, with no optical compromise. f/2.8 to f/22 throughout the full-frame range, four XD Linear AF motors with floating focus for fast, precise tracking. De-click aperture ring, zoom smoothness switch, and aperture lock give you proper video controls without adapters or workarounds. Dust and moisture resistant construction. 82mm filter thread. Full-frame E-mount.
 
The natural wide-to-standard pairing with the 70-200 GM II. Between the two, you've got 24-200mm at f/2.8 on a Sony E-mount build.
